We are writing to invite you to a very brief meeting to review the Title I Parent Involvement Policy.
As you may know, Title I provides federal funding to schools that have low poverty levels. The funding is meant to help students who are at risk of falling behind academically. The funding provides supplemental instruction for students who are economically disadvantaged or at risk for failing to meet state standards. All schools that receive Title I funds develop a Parent Involvement Policy and we annually invite parents to review that policy and recommend changes or revisions.
This year, our meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 20 between 8:15-8:45 a.m. Very informally, we will ask you to review the policy and offer suggestions or revisions. If you cannot attend the meeting, we invite you to review the policy at your leisure and provide any suggestions via e-mail or in writing. We will be sending the policy home or it can be accessed through the link at the top of this page.
